Take a 360 Tour

Half of this gallery focuses on polytheism and is dedicated primarily to the lion-headed goddess Sekhmet. It features many of the gods and goddesses worshiped in the ancient Egyptian religion. The other half focuses on monotheism and Akhnaton's worship of a sole god, whom he called the Aton, represented by the sun. This part of the gallery features artifacts from the city in the desert founded by Akhnaton, now called Tel-el-Amarna.
